The new trend of trash talk on airplane flight information boards is one we can fully endorse. The most recent sign was posted outside a Virgin America flight from San Francisco bound for Los Angeles.

The sign is far more clever than the trolling pro-Tebow sign we saw last week at a Denver airport, though that one did have a major advantage; it was posted on a flight bound for Pittsburgh. Traveling across the country and landing in Pittsburgh after a Steelers playoff loss is punishment enough. The "how 'bout that Tebow" was like kicking a man while he's down. This one playing off a Jay-Z song, "99 Problems," went out to people who may not have cared about the game, traveling to a place where it's 71 degrees in January.

You can't blame the sign maker for that, though: Virgin America doesn't fly to New Orleans. The airline does have flights to and from Dallas, so it's only a matter of time before one sign reads "like Tony Romo, this flight has been grounded."
Thanks, Larry Brown Sports
