Shutdown Corner - NFL

Tim Tebow is usually all about the fourth quarter. On Sunday, his heroics began and ended in the game's opening frame.

As Doug Farrar noted on Sunday night, the New England Patriots put Tebow in an early hole even he couldn't get out of. It wasn't too early though, as the Denver Broncos shot out to a 16-7 lead against the Pats before giving up 27 unanswered points over the second and third quarters. That early lead was highlighted by Tebow's rumbling touchdown scramble during which he shook three tacklers en route to the end zone.

Tebow Time was a little earlier on Sunday, that's all. And to those of you who say Tebow magic died a little Sunday? I'd like to think it was temporarily halted for five days before rising again (or resurrecting, perhaps) on Christmas Eve against the Buffalo Bills.
