Mike Shanahan was fired by the Denver Broncos two years ago. Walt Coleman must not have gotten the memo.
The referee was working a game involving Shanahan's new team, the Washington Redskins, on Sunday and after confirming that a Shanahan challenge would be denied, he announced that the team would lose a timeout. Only problem is, Coleman announced the wrong team. He quickly corrected himself though:
Shanahan and the Redskins were blown out by the New York Giants 31-7, the team's fourth loss in its last five games. At this point, he might wish he was still in Denver.
