In the locker room following his team's victory over the Detroit Lions, Jim Harbaugh was equally enthusiastic, but less back-slappy, than he was during the now-infamous postgame handshake with Jim Schwartz. Watch as he gives the most passionate postgame speech ever delivered from the visiting locker room in Detroit:
I'm all for the rah-rah stuff but don't you think Harbaugh is setting the bar a little high for future victory celebrations? He's reacting to a road win over a decent team as if it was the Super Bowl. What's he going to do if and when San Francisco clinches the NFC West or wins a home playoff game? He'll be like the guy who has to propose to his girlfriend after he's already taken her to Italy on Valentine's Day and written "I love you" in fireworks. Save some of the good stuff for later, James.
How dingy is that locker room, by the way? Braylon Edwards(notes) has seen prison intake rooms nicer than that.
