Tony Dungy is surprisingly capable of making fun of the Patriots

The Dunge sat down for an interview with Gametap to discuss NFL Head Coach '09, a new coaching simulation game from EA Sports. Dungy graces the cover.

Toward the end of the interview, the Gametap guy asked Dungy about any "cheat codes" (secret passwords or button combinations designed to make the game easier or give a player an advantage) available in the game. Dungy replied with an awesomeness I did not know he had:

GameTap: Are there going to be any cheat codes in the game where I can spy on my opponents?

Tony Dungy: [laughs] I don't know about any cheat codes. They say that's really a big secret around here, it's like Spygate. I don't know if they put that in there or not or what the penalty would be if you entered any cheat codes, but we'll probably only let New England have cheat codes.
ZING!

Not bad, coach. I didn't know you had it in you.

Unfortunately, that quote will likely be the most exciting thing about NFL Head Coach '09. I made the mistake of purchasing the '08 version, and in retrospect, the time I spent playing that game would have been more enjoyable spent playing nude Twister with a giant jellyfish.

    From What I understand about this NFL Coaching Game
    The New Version is supposed to be a million times better and the makers acknowledge the first one sucked big time.

    No St. Tony Hypocrite ISN'T half the coach BB is, but the second half of your comment, pats don't want or need loser fans like you Lou gy.
    #4, If they acknowledge is was so bad, why'd they sell it? They should give every poor sap who bought it full credit toward the new one.
    I bought madden 04 in 05 with soccer, hockey and baseball all for $20.00 Plenty realistic enough for me.

    Pumping in Noise and turning up the heat which ACTUALLY did affect outcomes of games unlike Pine Tar/Spygate: Dungy has some balls after what the Colts did.

    He's just bitter his team got beat! Let him talk all the smack he wants. The Pats will just go into Indianapolis and stomp him again. I guess that's what he needs to believe to sleep at night:) Like all the other losers! Patriot haters suck!

    18 and done!! LOL Go Colts!! It sucks when you cant see the plays a teams going to run during the Superbowl!! Wait I think thats Brady getting up again after Tuck leveled him!! Them Manning boys sure ruined the Patriots the last 2 seasons!! They deserve it!!! CHEATERS!! CHEATERS!!

    It sucks New England went 18-1, but I wonder how the Colts fans feel about getting beat at home to Norv Turner and the Chargers, that is just as bad as the Pats losing. At least we won the Lamar Hunt trophy and the Colts won nothing at all.

    Dungy's ten times the coach Bill Cheatichik is if he hadn't cheated the patriots wouldn't of even made the superbowl their best players are washouts and Bill's a baby he left the super bowl before the game was over

    M. Harrison was the only one that didn't play. Patriots beat you before with the likes of Givens, Patten and Branch. Manning always had better receivers then Brady up until last year, and lets face it Brady got 3 and Manning got 1.

    The year the colts won the Superbowl, the league, officials gave the Colts the AFC championship game. The league acknowledged that errors were made by the officials. Obviously the league wants to make the Mannings their new face of the league....By the way why is it ok to steal signs in baseball?

    When playing this game do I have to turn up the heat and the volume to painful levels when playing Dungys Colts at home? Will the officiating be unfair too? Will Peyton Manning be an arrogant jerk?
