Shutdown Corner - NFL

I get that people might be unhappy if their team brings Pacman Jones into the fold, but still, there's a line, you know?

This gentleman thinks the Cowboys might as well have signed Osama bin Laden instead of Pacman, which maaaaaay be a bit of a stretch. I don't know. Pacman's a lot of things, but to my knowledge, he's so far stopped short of joining al-Queda or mastermining any mass murders. Also, this guy is okay with murdering Pacman Jones if he attempts to date your daughter.

Okay, that last one actually might not be such a bad idea. Still ... ease it back a notch, fella. You're going to give yourself a coronary.

I thought it was a well thought out, well written humor piece. Totally tongue-in-cheek. Jerry Jones has enough money and power in the city of Dallas that he couldn't care less

It was entirely personal. This man took the time out to air his personal fued with Jones, and martyred many current players, prisoners, black Americans in this "noble" quest.
What an embarrassment that guy was. Poor people of Dallas, evacuate now.

I love this video!! I guess the only way the cowboys can win is if they bring in criminals.... Way to go Dallas! Youll get to the playoffs and choke again.... Maybe this year Tony wont go to Mexico.... No, Tony, T.O., and Pacman will just go to a local strip club this time... HA HA HA..... Cowboys suck....

Give the man a change. i have listen to this man critize players, coaches, management all the time. The only thing I look up to IS THE GAME? The only thing that the Cowboys need to do. Is make sure he don't go to the clubs with guns, money , and thugs. He need stay on the straight narrow and don't listen to press people. Most press people are mad the a black man can make so money base on athletic ability. But, it up to Pacman Jones to show CHARCTER AND NOT BE A CHARACTER LIKE A TV SPORTCASTER!

This old fart needs to stop being bitter that Jerry Jones fired him. He says things to the effect that Jones is loading the team up with controversial players. True but none of them have called their teammates gay or anything like that and none of them have been arrested either so maybe this old fart should keep his [profane] mouth shut until there is a reason to whine about everything. What a d bag

Jerry Jones will hire anyone to win a football game. Next he will hire a donkey to kick field goals! Pacman aka Thug,Baller... You know up in "da script club makin it rain on'em" or in english throwing money up in the air over strippers while claiming you run the place or for the that matter the world, sickens me. This guy is a good player but a piece of crap off the field and I hope none of my loved ones ever cross his posse path in the real world.
Dallas fans! this guy knows who the shooter is from a fight he created that also paralyzed a man in Vegas! He still hasn't told police because our system favors criminals and he has your ticket money or now mo money mo money from JJ!!!!! I now live in vegas but was born and raised in Texas. I guess Texas has changed if you accept this type of person on your team and in you're community!

Actually Chris(#10) my momma loves me very much! And I can hate the "boys" as much as I want... And you know what, Ill even think of you every time I bash the Cowboys and their "greatness".... When was the last time the "boys" won a bowl??? Super Bowl 30(1/29/96)..... Ha.....But you can keeping thinking to yourself that this year is the year (all Cowboys fan think this for some reason). Ha ha ha...... The branding of "America's Team" wore off a long time ago.... When the Boys can get past the first round of the playoffs (they even had home field advantage!), or when T.O. can stop crying about his quaterback, maybe I will show some respect for the Cowboys... Oh wait, probably not, because they suck.

Criticizers of Pacman Jones, you all are rightfully retarded. That broadcaster is a racist and so is the media. All white people hate that black men can make so much money just by playing sports. Black men, do your thing. Make that money on behalf of all black people. It's the closest thing to reparations that blacks will ever get.

funny piece but ridiculous at the same time. Yes, pacman has issues off the field but he is a damn good football player and addresses a need the dallas cowboys have. Aaaaaannnd Jerry Jones is the type of guy to sit with pacman and tell him straight up that he is part of a talented football franchise that has a legacy to uphold and he has rules to follow, anyone remember the comments against JJ when T.O. signed with dallas? talk about deja vu! And hey its not like they were one of the best teams last year or anything... I say good on'ya JJ!!!
The funniest part about this guy is the fact that he will be the guy cheering the loudest when pacman helps the 'boys to a title

Yo Michael (#11), you cant change a man no matter how many times you try. Pacman was arrested 12 times before this "makin it rain" incident happened, and now that his career may be taken away, now all of a sudden he's changed and wants to good? Yeah right...... And while you sit there claiming it has to do with him being black (that hes being treated unfairly), please..... The sport of basketball is mainly played by black men, I think we are over that whole race thing.....

What stuns me the most is that people view what he did as being ok! What is wrong with you people?! I wouldnt want my son viewing Pacman Jones as a role model, what it tells my boy is that he can act like a thug and it's ok because he plays a sport!!? Are you serious?! And then because he's black he should be given a break? Please..... Last time I checked, all people are created equal, regardless of color, so therefore all should be held accountable for their actions. I am black, and hearing some of the racist comments make me sick..... I dont need no one making excuses for me, or feeling sorry for me.....

Dale Hansen need to get some where and sit down and stop hating on the Cowboys. He always got something negative to say about the Boys. He Better stay with Channel 8 because nobody else will hire him.I think PacMan should have another chance to show people that he have learned his lesson.I agree with Bryan J that Dale Hansen is a Racist, he always have something negative to say about a Black Player. I hope Pacman come in and do real good. GO COWBOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate how anytime someone white says anyhing about someone who is black or when someone black says something about someone who is white it turns into a racial issue. If we want to advance as a society we need to get the races together and get beyond all the stuff that has happened in the past. We're only hurting ourselves with this. We need to stand together and stand strong, white, black, latin, asian and anyone else i've forgotten.

I guess if you believe in winning a game at all costs is right, then signing Pacman was a great move. It does say a lot about our character now. I don't want my son to look up to these guys. I can't say I'm proud.

First of all, playing the race card here is ridiculous because the issue is about his off field character and incidents. Furthermore, Ean is an uninformed idiot. I hope people are as direspectful of your team as you are of the 'Boys. You are entitled to your opinion, but the blatant disrespect is totally uncalled for and shows you are not a true gentleman sports fan. I say way to go Jerry Jones for taking a chance on such a talented player. He can only help the Cowboys be better. Let him have his chance to show he can stay out of trouble. He has served his time as they say.

Look the guy obviously an ignorant old man who thinks he will get his point across by referencing Osama Bin Laden. This not a racial issue, so i won't even bring it up. Look this is why he is a local sport reporter and not working for the national media. I am not a fan of the Cowboys nor will i ever but it is ultimately Jerry Jones' decision to trade for anyone he wants and it doesnt work out than it will blow up in his face. When he brought up how Adam Jones was coerced into giving that guy money that is what made me angry. If he was ever caught in this same position he would cry like a little (expletive). Now if Adam gets reinstated that is for the Commissioner Goodell to decide i not going to lose sleep over it. I believe people should have the opportunity to show they have changed. Look Ean you are right he was arrested over 10 times, and it was he who put himself in that position. I dont argue with you on that. but no matter how much everything can debate this issue we cannot definitively say that it will go one way or another. We all have to wait and see

Yes, Dale Hansen is always negative... he talks bad about he Mavericks, Rangers and Stars but at the same time loves all of them. He can be alittle abrassive but usually is content is right on; as with this case.
For the guy that thinks this video is racist in content, please grow up and realize that a Adam is only creating more of a bad image for the black athletes who actually do contribute to society in a positive way and it should infuriate you that a guy given this many changes has not steped up and made a positive contribution to the black community. The criticism with Adam Jones has nothing to do with race or the "white man" bringing him down, Adam is doing plenty of that on his own to fuel the media frenzy. And no, all white people do not hate young black athletes as it was said above... absurd to even think that Adam has not brought this on himself, only the white media is dishing out negative press (whats even more depressing is that this thinking is still verbalized in chat rooms and anywhere else in the country... it's time to grow man.)
I personally can't imagine growing up as a youth in his world and then being thrown millions of dollars and expect him to act like a "normal millionare." This kid (and yes he is still a kid) has everything handed to him at a very early age with his only role models passing way while he was in college is only enhancing his behavior. I know I wouldn't want to be in his shoes no matter the money.
Lets give him a chance to screw this up and then count him out. I love the Cowboys and I know he can help on the field, whether that brings a championship or not is to be determined.
