Shutdown Corner - NFL

I'm a Ryan Leaf fan (eventually I'll stick "former" in there, but I'm not ready yet), so my point of view is skewed, but ... $450 for an autographed Ryan Leaf jersey is on the expensive side, right?

Once Ryan Leaf writes on something, is it still worth the value of the fabric used in its construction? Is there anyone out there who would be happy if Ryan Leaf walked up to them and spontaneously wrote his name on their shirt? Is there anyone who would not turn to him and say, "Hey, what the hell, pal?"

Leaf recently turned himself in to Texas authorities to face charges of burglary and obtaining a controlled substance. To my knowledge, no inmates in Texas prisons have expressed an interest in getting Leaf to autograph their jumpsuits.

Gracias, Fark.

If I was female I'd have him sign my boobies....As a fat male though I find it degrading to have to shave my chest so that he could sign my Moobies.

has there ever been a chargers quarterback whose jersey is worth $450? im sure some moron will buy this and mount it on his wall so he can show it off to his/her "friends" only to have them laugh at his/her dumbass after they leave his/her house.

It's not $450 for a jersey, it's $450 to spend the night with him. But I'm sure you already know that, don't ya.

There is a buzz up button, but Yahoo needs to make a buzz down button for this one. MJD, isn't there a Chargers forum you can post this garbage on instead of here?

You know OJ's stuff went up in value but I didn't waste my hard earned $$$'s then and I sure wouldn't waste it now on Cry'n Ryan stuff.

I suppose there are always people about who have the money for this stuff. Can't say I be spending my hard earned on it though.

I had purchased a Leaf jersey when he was on the Chargers, but the price was fairly low- less than $100. When he was cut from the team I sold it on ebay and got MORE than what I paid for it. I guess back then someone still had faith the guy was gonna turn his NFL career around w/ the Cowboys / Buccaneers / whomever. I was amazed it sold at all. Maybe they needed to wipe down their car with it.

It's not expensive, considering Peyton Manning's jersey is $10,000 and other uniforms are along the line :)

I got a leaf jersey last x-mas from a friend who payed 2.99 for it. I use it to clean with and as a back drop to a dart competition. Anyone who pays more than 2.99 for anything with LEAFs name on it should probably find work as Al Davis's assistant in draft picking or a fine job as Denver's "Coach and Player Liason".

#12 Garvin N. -The difference is that OJ had some real cajones. The dude found a very small glove, put on some silent but deadly loafers, and killed his old lady and her new SHLONGER. Ryan just needed some meds and snuck in through the back patio to allleviate his sad feelings about being a LOSER. Also, OJ according to a vast majority of minorities feel as though OJ was innocent and may have decided to make him a consumer's martyr whereas, even white people would think Ryan is guilty immediately.
