Steelers vs. Cardinals, the musical battle

I went to Best Buy last night, and on the way into the store, the speaker outside the store was playing, "Here We Go," or, as I call it, "That Damn Steeler Song." I figured I was unlucky and caught a radio broadcast at an unfortunate time, but about 25 minutes later, I left the store, and the same damn song was playing. They must have had that thing on a continuous loop all day.

But with an assist to Arizona Cardinals blog Raising Zona, I stumbled upon a Cardinals song, too. You can judge for yourself which team has the best musical inspiration. First, the Cardinals:

And the afore-mentioned piece of Pittsburgh Steelers musical brilliance:

I hope both fan bases are feeling pretty gay right now. Nothing will ever beat the super bowl shuffle so stop trying. Bears!

That dip$#!% in the Arizona video is wearing a Matt "just here to collect my check" Leinart jersey. The Pittsburgh song has been around for years and gets revamped every year. Tell the Cardinals they can talk smack when they make the Championship game in another 61 years. Go Stiller's!!! Let's get a band for the other hand.

Both "songs" ignite a firestorm of vomit in the pit of my stomach. I wish I had these past five minutes back.

Diehard Steelers fan, and am looking forward to that 6th ring for our boys.....but as for those songs, I don't see me adding either of them to my mp3 player. If I was forced to listen to one or the other, the Cards one is definitely more obnoxious.

The only real pro football fight song is "Hail to the Redskins." Would we find an owner competent enough to do something that could actually give us a chance to hum a few bars....

If anybody is interested in putting out intestinal firestorms, go for a complete gastro-intestinal inversion by watching the Bradley Braves "MVC Shuffle" on YouTube. Beware. Do not watch in the presence of dangerous objects, including loaded firearms, bleach, in flammables of any sort, or a set of Samurai swords. It will put out the fire, guaranteed!

What's even worse than these two songs is that stupid Eagles song. Composed no doubt by a third grader and it keeps playing over in your head.

Whats unique about the Steeler song is that every year the Steelers are in the playoffs... this song starts up. There aren't many other teams out there, that year after year, are in the playoffs. Let alone challenging for the Conference title and a Super bowl berth. (Not to mention winning 5 of their 6 Super Bowl appearances) As for the Bears and their song, they weren't even the first ones to come up with a team song... see the 49'ers the year before. Like I said... it's the good play year in and year out, the history, and of course the fanbase that make this song great.

The Steelers song is right up there with "The Song That Never Ends" and Barney's "I Love You" for worst attempt at a song ever. What the hell? Could you be less enthusiastic about your lyrics or make a less enthusiastic beat/melody? I hate the Steelers anyway, but that was literally the most embarrassing thing a team could ever have representing itself.
    As for the Cards video....bad

What about some love for the Steeler Polka?
"We're from the town with the great football team
    We cheer the Pittsburgh Steelers..."
First came out in the 70s prior to SB IX, then revamped for SB XIII

If you don't like "Here We Go" then you are not a real steeler fan and we don't want you anyway.....So basically with that Cards song, Arizona is representing the whole stat as being wannabe white rappers? Yeah that's alot better than a decent beat cheering the key players of the team. Here We Go is legendary in Pittsburgh.. and also to agree with Greg W...the song CAN change every year, cuz the Steelers make the playoffs almost every year...let's start counting right now and see how many white rapper Arizona Cardinals songs there will be in the next 20 years....
