Pacman Jones did a three-hour interview with Michael Irvin yesterday on 103.3 FM in Dallas yesterday. What in God's name could Pac and the Playmaker talk about for three hours? Politics? Religion? Literature? Surprisingly, they didn't cover any of those subjects.

They did cover a lot, though, and the aptly-named "Dallas Cowboys Blog" at the Dallas Morning News liveblogged the whole thing. The nation is appreciative. At least, I am.

Highlights:

• "It's getting to the point where it ain't no time for slip-ups right now," Pacman said. "It's like I'm on the cliff right now. One slip-up and it's off the cliff."

• "I'd be really lucky to get another shot," he said.

• Said Pacman of his visit to a New York strip club before his disciplinary meeting with Roger Goodell: "It was a bad decision. It was one of the dumbest decisions I've ever made. ... It's just not going to happen anymore."

• On his current ability: "I'm the best. Hands down. As far as the complete package goes, I'm the best."

• On his ability to help the Cowboys: "I can help them win," Pacman said. "That ain't no problem. I'm good for two wins a year by myself."

• Will he ever go back to a strip club? "I cannot say ever, ever," Pacman said. "But I can say they won't see me [in strip clubs] for the next three or four years."

So there it is. The Dallas Cowboys Blog team painted a picture of a guy who was alternately showing contrition, and then offering up excuses for various arrests before ultimately taking responsibility for them. The other notable theme, other than that, appears to be supreme confidence.

Personally, I have more faith in his confidence than I do in his contrition. I don't get the feeling he's truly sorry for what he's done, but at least he's willing to act like he is, and that's a step, I guess. As for his claim of being good for two wins a year, on his own? When he's at his best (and who knows what kind of shape he's in right now), he's a gamechanger. He shuts down half the field, and any time he touches the ball, he's a threat to score.

Oh, and that flyer we posted yesterday that had Pacman attending some party hosted by "Money"? Pacman's not going to be there (no word yet on Young Spoaty). Apparently, some club just decided to throw his name and picture on a poster, and Pac knew nothing of it. I apologize to Pacman and to the readers for passing on bad information, and frankly, I can't believe that a quality company like "Cheap Ass Flyers" would be involved in such chicanery.

Stay away from the strip clubs, get a wife you can love and have do all those things you like about strippers, and get on the field and WORK! Make it right. Have your name among the elite cornerbacks.

He won at least a couple of games for the Titans pretty much on his own the year before last, including one against the Jags, where he pretty much was the offense.

West Virginia fan here- and Pacman Jones would have benefited grealty for playing a year under Bill Stewert. He played for Rich Rod who was a freakin idiot and let Chris Henry and Pacman Jones get away with all sort of dumb crap.
Stewert would have stopped that crap and Pacman would be better off today.
That said- Greenbay is America's team NOT Dallas ..

look people he has not been indicted on anything. and he's trying to turn his life around. everyone makes mistakes. how many times have you made a mistake and been forgiven for it. you people are always quick to go and persecute one of these athletes when they make a mistake. get over it. give him another shot on the gridiron

No, he's NOT trying to turn his life around! He's trying to hold off on the things that have gotten him in trouble for a little while, so he can keep at the job that has let him afford that lifestyle. Can't say I blame him one bit. But to say he's trying to change is like saying a guy on an airplane who isn't having a cigarette has 'quit smoking'. He hasn't quit; he'll be right back at it as soon as he can, without serious repercussions.
But as I said, I don't blame him a bit. Hope for his sake he can keep from taking that drag before the plane lands, so to speak.

Hey David S (# 10) - Greenbay is not America's team. There is no such thing. So stop making foolish claims. And don't try to claim that because they have won so many championships they automatically qualify as America's team. With all that said, I am a Dallas fan.

I agree with #4, people are in Iraq dying over some B.S. and Pac can't get a second chance at football. G.
Dubya stole his second chance to drive this country into the dirt, and Hilary lies about Bosnian sniper fire.
Oh, I "misspoke" that's what it is called when certain of the chosen few lie. Brothers of all colors, in these
jack swung, screwed, blued, and tatooed days; let us not needlessly cast off a great player in our most beloved sport. God, knows we need a diversion. However, I am sure that myself and #4 will call for his removal on the business end of Jones and Goodell's feet at the first butt naked club infraction. He is in a great environ for improvement with Deion, T.D. Jakes, and Calvin Hill there to help. Look at the T.O. conversion, he cried for a teamate, T.O.. Bush and Hilary are not showing any form of contrition.

folks let's talk about pacman for a minute here is the issue everyone is failing to realize with him yes he was not the kind of person who was mature when he came into the league and he did not realize that the NFL is a business and iam telling you this much and i hate to use this as a example pacman is heading in the same direction as Sean Taylor the diference is that Sean Taylor was a grown man and he adjusted to the league as a business very quickly one thing he did not adjust to is leaving his friends behind and pacman is in the same boat unless he changes his ways sooner or later he's ending in the same situation as Sean because he also has trust issues like Sean did.

I'm scared to imagine what he would be doing if it weren't for his NFL money. The NFL should allow him to play as a community service because I'd hate to see what he would do when money becomes tight. Is this what we mean by career criminal?

Greenbay???? I though it was Green Bay you loser. At least now that Favre is retired maybe Green Bay might have a chance winning in Dallas. I can't wait for Tnewman and Pacman to come to Wisconsin and shut your receivers down while TO reinvents a new Cowboy leap on your sacred turf as he did on our beloved star. Everybody hates on Jerry Jones for offseason moves, but those same people are nowhere to be found when the moves work out. Cowboys just win a playoff game this year so I can quit hearing the crap at work please!!!!!

sorry david s but greenbay is america's sentimental favorite team.. not america's team..theres no organization that has a bigger fan base and more popular than the dallas cowboys..usually NUMBER 1 in merchandising in the world them followed by the yankees... everywhere i go in the US i see so many dallas fans its pathetic especially in the south and south west where many teams dont have a pro team so they go with dallas..it also stems back from the early 70's where the only real winning teams were the steelers the cowboys and the dolphins ..so from there along with the growing populalarity you got superbowl wins followed by the even almost equal popular dallas cowboys cheerleaders...then you add dallas has had some of the most popular players to ever play the game..staubach,dorsett,too tall arejones, aikman, irvin, randy white, charles haley, emmit smith, deion sanders, and on and on ..theres just no comparison the dallas cowboys are the most popular franchise in the world ..i mean look at yourself ..your a greenbay fan coming to OUR SITE speaks for itself..LMAO everyone else fan base obcessed with the cowboys whether its making negative comments or positive doesnt matter you have to come to our sites you just cant help it..lol alot of that derives from pure ENVY 5 SUPERBOWL WINS and counting... 8 SUPERBOWL APPEARANCES..most popular players..we have alot of haters out there as well and i realize that but there are so many more that are for the cowboys..face the facts were the best and you cant stand it..i dont see alot of fans piling up on the losers sites ..lol theres a reason for that..i love the fact we get so much attention keep coming to our sites and bashing us ..but that just lets me know how popular we are ..you cant stand not coming to our sites and making comments..WE ARE THAT POPULAR AND GREAT ..WE ARE AMERICAS TEAM LIVE WITH IT...LMAO

G B Packers are not America's Team because of their 12 National Football League Championships, or the fact that they are the only team to ever three-peat championships, TWICE!! They are America's Team because they are owned," By the People For the People " not by a Jerry Jones or Al Davis ( by the way I hope Al lives another hundred years so the raiders will SUCK another hundred years). So when you buy a #9 Tony Blowmo jersey you pay Jerry but when you buy a Green Bay Packer # 4 jersey, the most popular jersey EVER in the HISTORY of the NFL you're buying it from the Packers, their shareholders and their fans. That said, Packman does not deserve to ever get a chance to even think about touching the Lombardi Trophy, named after one of the greatest NFL coaches ever, won first by the greatest sports franchise ever. Held by the likes of Bart Starr, Reggie White and yes even Emmett Smith. I don't care how talented Packman is he's a no class low life individual ( witch would make him a perfect fit for both the cowboys and the raiders).
