On the Corner, podcast #31: Breesus and his Saints

This week's guest is Saints expert, Fanhouse.com blogger and all-around affable gentleman, Tom Mantzouranis. As that might imply, it's a Saints-heavy edition of the podcast, as we talk about what's causing them to fall behind in games, Reggie Bush's role (or lack thereof), whether or not 16-0 is possible or even preferable and how the Saints stack up next to the Vikings and Colts.

Also, this episode's Abusive E-mail of the Week, from a fellow named Jeremy Larson, goes way, way, way too far. The Picks Segment is kind of fun, too, as I get to review last week's 5-0 against-the-spread performance. Of course, probability being what it is, that probably means I'm going to go 0-5 this week, but I'm going to bask in it while I can.

    "ON THE CORNER"...Isn't that where MJD spends his weekends? MJD has had more pipe laid in him than the New York sewer system. I notice he ran a pro PETA article with Tony Gonzales naked...Christmas apparantly came early for MJD...

    Atlanta and Carolina together ran the ball for over 300 yard and lost so will the Vikings have enough time to run 500 yards to beat the Saints. 10 minutes on the game clock = 7 points Vikings 10 minutes on the game clock for Bress = 21 points, the pass is still faster than the run
    The Colts can't match receivers or defenders
    Now on TV land who is more profitable Bret Farve winning 2 Superbowl with two different team one when he was young and another at 40 over the Saint never making it to the Superbowl now that's another story

    For my fellow Canadian Colts fans out there, i just saw this article on TSN's website: http://www.tsn.ca/nfl/story/?id=298039 about an ESPN documentary about the old Balitmore colts that'll be on tonight! I've heard good things about this whole series from friends in the US. Sounds like it's worth watching! Has anyone seen this already?

    NEED HELP IN NORTH LOUISIANA. the local fox tv station is running a vote wheather to show the cowboys or the SAINTS game . right now the SAINTS HAVE 46% of vote..PLEASE GO TO, .kmsstv.com/ AND VOTE SAINTS.

    We struggled and How. And I am not sure that we want continue to struggle. This is the time of the Season that those little nit pick injuries( meaning that it does not stop you from playing but you know they are there) start to showup. St Louis showed us a side of there team that has not been seen before this season you can use the excuse that we had some key injuries in the Secondary and that did not help. The Saints just happen to play Sunday to win and that is what they did, 9/0 . The Saints mistakes are not as noticeable if you watched the Colts an other 9/0 team and the mistakes that was made in that game. Its NFL football and STUFF happens to the best of teams. So Saints fans be Proud of This Team I have been a fan for 43 yrs and been thru some bad times with them and BY GEORGE they are winners no matter how sloppy there play has been. Go Saints
