Shutdown Corner - NFL

The Titans just gave up the first touchdown of the game to LeRon McClain to go down 10-3. Finally, someone's defense let up a little bit in that game, and in the case of the Titans, by "let up," I mean, "started fighting with each other like little girls over a Hannah Montana CD."

Star corner Cortland Finnegan has some kind of ongoing beef with team captain Keith Bulluck. After a play in which Finnegan shoved a Raven out of bounds, he got in Bulluck's face and and spoke in a non-polite manner. Bulluck responded by hauling off and shoving him.

Then they carried it over to the sidelines. After the touchdown, the conversation continued until the two had to be separated by about 16 players and coaches. I have a feeling, though, that if they really wanted to get at it, that wouldn't have been enough to keep them apart.

I can't hear the sound on that particular game, so I don't know all the particulars ... but with or without audio, it's clear that they both have a lot to learn about sharing.

Love how everyone is already on the Titan bandwagon. Hope you all realize that Kerry Collins, yes kerry Collins is ur QB, a TE named Bo is ur leading reciever and ur starting RB cant measure up to ur 2nd string RB in Johnson.. Yea cant wait to see how many of u are left after weeks 8 thru 11, maybe u guys can be a panthers or bengals fans those weeks, easy schedule there....

Funny how Bullock didn't say anything to Haynesworth...let's not forget he got as many penalties that drive as Finnegan. Maybe Bullock only has nerve to play "captain" to those smaller than him. Don't get me wrong, Bullock is one of my favorite players, but pushing one of your own teammates on an opponents field??? I think Bullock also needed to settle his emotions.

If you played football with a competitive spirit you would know tempers sometime flair up. everything started with cortland finnegan and derrick mason 2 highly competitive players. especially with mason's grudge against the titans. stuff happened cortland got mad. that happens. what they should have done was set cortland down for a few minutes after the issue with mason. then the stuff with bulluck wouldn't have happened. i love the titans but i don't blame mason. they should have never got rid of him. he is a great receiver. i wish we still had him on our team.
