Had this counted, it would be the leader in the clubhouse for catch of the year in the NFL. Jonathan Baldwin(notes) of the Kansas City Chiefs makes this catch while also being forced into a non-consensual hug with Denver Broncos safety Brian Dawkins(notes).
The play was called back on offsetting penalties, and unfortunately, it was still pretty much the offensive highlight of the day for the Chiefs. They managed just ten points against the Broncos, and lost to a team that appeared to be legally prohibited from throwing the football. Matt Cassel(notes) was so bad that he was pulled from the game in favor of Tyler Palko(notes).
The Broncos, Chargers and Chiefs are locked in a three-way tie for second place in the AFC West, all one game behind the Raiders.
