Shutdown Corner - NFL

Via SportsDay at the Dallas Morning News, Pacman Jones was asked recently about facing the Eagles passing attack on Monday night, and he responded with candor. Respectfully, he said that the Eagles presented a "big challenge," but in reference to the fact that three Eagles had over 100 yards in Week One, said this:

"They played the Rams, dude."

Chuckle-worthy? Yes. Something worth pointing out? Yes. Bulletin-board material? I don't know.

I can't imagine that the Eagles would find it insulting. They know what kind of defense they faced on Sunday, they were there. If any of the 100-yard receivers, DeSean Jackson, Greg Lewis, or Hank Baskett, feel like they shredded one of the league's most formidable secondaries, I'd like to ask that they please stop hanging out with Ed Johnson.

The Rams, on the other hand, may very well find it insulting, but are they really in a position to say anything about it? Are they going to deny that they were pitiful against the Eagles?

And if they feel like the trio of DeSean Jackson, Greg Lewis, and Hank Baskett is some kind of unstoppable force, again, I'd ask that they stop eating Ed Johnson's brownies. The most spirited defense they could mount would be something like, "We had a bad week, we're young, and we're going to get better, okay? So leave us alone, jerk."

It's just a tiny little bit of spice to add to a promising Monday night game.

Expecting honesty from Thugman is a stretch. Do everyone a favor and refrain fron quoting this animal- that is, until he stands before a judge and says "not guilty".

The bottom line is that he knows that he screwed up on more than one occasion, and that this stop in big D is his last chance, I think the entire organization and Calvin Hill is doing a great job keeping him on the right path and out of trouble, you watch he is going to prove all the nay-sayers wrong, and turn out to be a great pick-up for the Cowboys. and to [profane]man let he who is without sin cast the first stone. I sure as hell bet it won't be you.

How soon we forget. With the exception of the man in the wheelchair in Vegas - he will never forget. There is your first stone... By the way, this cretin is deserving of hate. I am sure that the people he wronged have no use for " your athlete". Keep holding your breath - you know he will be arrested again.

haha.. I don't care how many people want to hate on Pacman, what happens when troublemakers come to Dallas? they shine.. Give them all to us, we have the staff to make every player straighten up and do right.. (with moderation).. I mean TO cried in defense for another player.. not the selfish one we all knew before huh?

Pac Man..said that Eagles only played the Rams..give me a break like Cleveland is any better!!! Wasn't it you that got burnt for Cleveland's only touchdown or are you going to blame someone else for that too. The most expensive team in the NFL(DALLAS) only beat Cleveland by 18points & PACMAN said what?

Hey, s&itman I'm sure Adam Jones will never forget the man in Vegas it sure is odd that he's not griping to much about it since he settled out of court for a large sum of money. and he's not my athlete he plays for the Cowboys and I think he's learned his lesson and I would be greatly suprised if he had any further trouble with the law. and to BeReal yes a lot of publications picked Cleveland to win their division and make the playoffs, and if it were'nt for couple of mistakes it would have been even more of a blowout, and being the most expensive team in the NFL has nothing to do with it.
