We've
had two days of OTAs, and we've had two instances of Pacman
Jones intercepting a pass and taking it to the house. Organized team
activities? More like Organized Pacman Domination!
With this, I think we can assume that he'll intercept a pass in every game he plays in, and then return it for a touchdown. That is, if we also assume that he'll be facing Richard Bartel as the opposing quarterback every week, and that everyone else on the field will stop running as soon as Pacman catches the ball.
If we can make those assumptions, go ahead and pencil Pacman in for the Pro Bowl and Defensive Player of the Year.
We probably can't, though. I bet there's some kind of league rule that prevents Richard Bartel from switching teams every week and immediately taking over the starting job. C'est la vie. Pacman's going to have to do things the old-fashioned way ... against quarterbacks who did not play college ball at Tarleton State.
I don't mean to make fun of Richard Bartel. If he's on an NFL depth chart at all (and he's listed behind Brad Johnson and Tony Romo), he can ball. The point is that I've never heard more about accomplishments so meaningless. As Hashmarks points out, it even scrolled across the ticker at the bottom of the ESPN screen last night. An interception in practice!
You could probably pull Rod Woodson off the set of the NFL Network right now, and he'd intercept of a couple of OTA passes and take them to the house. The "taking it to the house," in fact, is the easy part, since no one else cares if you take it to the house.
I guess nothing is insignificant with Pacman, though. Baby steps.

What would I have done if someone had decided to pay me huge money at that age? Don't know for sure. Possibly SOME of the same stuff he's done.
One thing I do know, Pacman is a gifted athelete. I saw him at a practice before the Gator Bowl several years ago. Adam back-pedaled at full speed while covering his man, broke on the ball, made the interception, and took it to the house.
