Without Adam Vinateri, the New England Patriots wouldn't have won three Super Bowl titles. Without Tom Brady(notes), Adam Vinatieri(notes) wouldn't have been in a position to give the Patriots those titles. Without Bill Belichick, Tom Brady's quarterbacking wouldn't have set-up Adam Vinateri to hit the kicks to win those titles. And without Robert Kraft, Bill Belichick wouldn't have been in New England to help both Brady and Vinateiri win those titles. And without Michael Jackson (yes, that Michael Jackson), Bob Kraft wouldn't have bought the New England Patriots and the dynasty that was may never have been.

As Forbes described in a 2005 article, Michael Jackon's 1984 Victory tour was directly responsible for Kraft purchasing Foxboro Stadium in 1988, a transaction that eventually led to him being able to buy the team in 1994.

In 1988 Kraft and a partner put up $25 million to buy the Foxboro stadium from the Sullivan family, besting a $16 million offer from the Pats' owner, Kiam. (Kraft would buy out his 50-50 partner for a small premium five years later.) [Former Patriots owner, and current Foxboro Stadium owner] Charles Sullivan had used the stadium as collateral to fund [Michael Jackson's] Victory Tour back in 1984. Overleveraged, Sullivan went bankrupt and was forced to sell the arena. To this day Kraft's collection of photos and mementos includes a poster from the ill-fated tour.

Basically, Sullivan got in over his head funding Michael Jackson's Victory tour (something that those concert organizers in London can commiserate with now) and was forced to sell the stadium because of the bad investment, a move which furthered Bob Kraft's quest to own his hometown Patriots. (Because Kraft owned the stadium, the team couldn't be sold without his approval. When new owner Victor Kiam wanted to sell to a St. Louis businessman intent on re-selling the team or moving it, Kraft stepped in and bid 50 percent more, buying the Patriots for $172 million in 1994.

It was a transaction that began a run toward three Super Bowls, a perfect regular season and the career of one of the greatest coaches and quarterbacks that the league has ever seen. And to think, it was all set in motion by the guy with the glove moonwalking across the stage. "Wanna' Be Startin' Somethin'" indeed.

they never found any invasion into the those kids bodies; i.e. he didn't penetrate them. that's why he was always found: not guilty. When you're lying, you say the Michael gave the kids a BJ. It's an allegations that in and of itself can not be proved. He was a victim of his own strangeness.

    Le sigh...
It seems that nobody knows the meaning of the words: acquitted of all charges.

If he was so innocent -- why did he pay $22 million to the boy's family to avoid going to court?

'Acquitted of all charges' after millions to destroy his victims and the credibility of 91 witnesses, one a security guard who reported seeing Jackson 'orally molesting' a young boy. Many millions more to buy off other accusers.
Just like OJ and Kobe.....murderer and rapist...enough money will destroy the lives of many others, and get these scum bags a free ride.
May they all rot in Hell.

Please people.. No on on this Blog Knew Michael. your just going off of what the media has told us about him. he may or may not have done those things to kids. it's kinda of pointless now to judge him. Only the lord has the right to judge him. Let the man rest in peace. He'll pay for his crimes IF he did anything wrong If not.. I'm sure he's up there dancing and in heaven. RIP... Great BET awards show last night and nice way to send him off.

MJ is dead, that's the bottom line. People can say what they want to, that's their personal choice. We live in a society that thrives on the negative. My prayers are with his family. Whatever he's done in the past, God knows better than us. He will deal with it. In the meanwhile, let us all sweep around our own back porches and ask that God forgive us for our many sins.

Cause and effect. There's a reason why business people are good at making money. They take risks. Sometimes it pays off and sometimes they don't
Sorry to hear about Michael, but MJ: This is a stretch just to fetch some people off the 'net isn't it ? It worked for me my friend, ha!

Were the Patriots that bad back then? Only $172. I'm by now means no fan of them, but I would have bought em.

Chase has stretched the connection, which is very thin and only incidental. It was used to tease us all into reading this article. It's better copy than a story about Sullivans bad business decisions. It leaves a bad taste.

Lol if Kraft bought the Pats for $172.00 in 1994, he probably was just involved in the greatest bargain and profit-turning purchase in the history of everything.

Ok Ok Ok ,,,,Do the math,,,, If the whole world so loved Michael Jackson and they purchased all his music and videos..... How then do you explain him being 400 million in debt if he wasn't paying parents out of court settlements??? It was Sullivan's investment that put the statium at risk for Bob K. to be in position to purchase the Statium. To bet your whole life on just one person, (Even Michael Jackson) certainly is a foolish move on anyone's part. Furthermore even aquited, I certainly as a parent would never give him access to my children.

If you are so sick. Then why click on the article. The truth is. You have a boring existance and the only thing you can do is look at someone else's life and envy. Your jealousy will become you. You need to let it go. Whatever it was you didn't accomplish in life, is not anyone else's fault but your own. And maybe it just wasn't for you. But don't tarnish another person for their accomplishment. Let me explain something to you. You do not have to be guilty to be accused of something in America. Never had that ever been the case. Especially, if you are a black man. I'm just sorry Michael had to find that out on his own. Thank you. God bless you all. All idiots just save your stupid comments. What if someone talked about you dead brother, or mother or father.

Right, because if there's no penetration or oral sex involved, then it's perfectly acceptable for an adult male to sleep with hairless young boys. If neighborhood non-celebrity did this, there would of course be the same defense of him by the people defending Jackson on this account.

So according to Victor, you have a boring existence if you click on the article and think Jackson was a weirdo. Good logic. And Vic, if you equate dissing Jackson with someone dissing a close family member and loved one, then you must be the weirdest member of that family.
