Shutdown Corner - NFL

You might want to sit down for this one. It's rough news, and I'm not sure how you'll take it.

Tom Brady, Patriots quarterback and bastion of all that is oozing with sex appeal, could be (gulp) losing his hair.

The New York Post's Page Six followed Tom into a building that houses a bunch of medical offices. They called the podiatrist's office ... no Tom. They called the chiropractic office ... again, no Tom.  And then they called AMD Lab USA, a hair loss treatment facility (or, state of the art non-hormonal hair restoration and care facility, if you'd rather) ... and this time, they got a "no comment."

Tom apparently has no interest in going bald gracefully, a la Matt Hasselbeck.  But, in case the AMD Lab's efforts aren't successful, the Patriots are already said to be working on a special jersey patch, commemorating the loss of Tom's glorious mane. Early sketches have it looking something like the image to your right.

God speed, Tom.  God speed.

    Why does anyone care if tom is losing his hair he will still be sexy, with or without hair , is that all they look for is to find any kind of story to write about. so he is losing his hair big deal , it won't change the fact that he is the best quarterback ever, and he will beat giants with hair or not. i am sure that is the least thing he has to worry about there are more important things to worry about. he is not worried about losing the game because he's not

    i heard through the grapevine through a friend of a friend who works at a hair restoration clinic in the greater boston area that this rumor is absolutely true. apparently, tom brady has been transplanting hair donated from another former nfl all pro and former bill, 49er, and patriot, fred smerlas, to his head. supposedly, smerlas has an overabundance of hair sprouting from his back that has been culled by a medical doctor and carefully stored under optimum conditions for growth (soaked in rogaine at ninety degrees for 7-10 days). smerlas

    Smerlas's back hair is so hearty and robust that it immediately takes root to an individual's scalp and grows up to 1/2 an inch per week. I have heard that Smerlas charges about $10,000 per ounce for his hair and the procedure itself is not cheap as it runs about $5,000 per session (and the process may take 10-15 sittings). Since he is such a fan of Brady, Smerlas has been donating his ferocious follicles at no charge to Tom. At his next press conference, take a look at the hair growing from the base of Brady's scalp. It is darker and fuller than the rest of his now shaggy mane. The body of a Hall of Fame QB and the hair of a Hall of Fame Defensive Lineman. Talk about a well rounded football player.

    Heck with everyone.........I'll take a bald Tom Brady any day of the week. Beauty is after all, from the inside and I like what I have seen and heard. :}
