Don't expect great touchdown dances from the '09 rookie class

The Upper Deck people gathered all the NFL's daisy-fresh rookies together to snap pictures for their rookie cards, and while they were there, they had a touchdown celebration contest. Let's go to the footage.

I see a shocking lack of creativity among this year's crop of rookies. All of the skit-style celebrations with the football as a prop have been done before. So if I had to go with a winner, I'd go with someone from the straight-up dancing category, and there, I think your winner is Ramses Barden(notes) of the Giants. Behind that, I liked Mohammed Massaquoi's worm, with the bonus kick-up at the end. Upper Deck named Knowshon Moreno the winner.

As for the weakest, I'll take Mark Sanchez(notes) and Darius Heyward-Bey. Fortunately for Heyward-Bey, being a Raider, he won't have to worry about finding the end zone frequently.

    DAMN! That's where I usually get my best dance moves and this year they gave me nothing! NOTHING!

    I beg to differ on all of the football as a prop things having been done before, I've not seen Stafford's TNT or I believe Moreno's chainsaw either.

    Heyward-Beys gonna find the endzone alot more than any other reciever this year. Thats for sure.

    Barden's was awesome, but Moreno's was classic.
    i would love to see him do that against Oakland. i'll pay the fine!
    but i think i'm more stoked that 3 49ers were there!

    I thought Stanford's was pretty good too..... Too bad almost every celebration would have been flagged, group celebrations, using props... it's a shame the NFL (No Fun League) penalizes those types of celebrations now....
