Deep Posts: Chad keeps babbling, I keep telling you about it

• Just to once again reiterate that there is no meaning behind absolutely anything that Chad Johnson says, he's saying today that he's "happy." Sweet heavens, what would he act like if he was displeased in some way?

• The International Astronomical Union has named an asteroid after Myron Cope, and guess what? I'm not going to be the one making jokes about Pittsburgh (naughty language).

• Michael Strahan has offers on the table from FOX and CBS, and might also consider NBC or ESPN. In other news, Michael Strahan is probably going to have a TV job soon, and it's going to come from one of the four networks that televise football, as opposed to, you know ... PBS or Oxygen or something. Thanks for the update.

• Also on Strahan, The Onion gives us his strong side and weak side.

• Dane Looker and his magical pitching wedge got the Rams out of having to attend afternoon meetings on Thursday.

• You're not going to believe this, but ESPN is going to make a big deal about the retirement of Brett Favre's number.

• A Canadian Senator would like the NFL to stay the hell out of Canada, so that the integrity of the Canadian Football League can be protected. That's fine. Please keep giving jobs to our players who can't stay out of jail, though.

    Marvin lewis needs to be fired. obvisiously he cant control his team or run it correctly. he needs to go and so do the players. the owner is also to blame and the general manager needs to be fired as well.

    The Chad Johnson Story is getting old. Already has enough scenes to make a movie.
    Strahan has it going on. Has options to choose from.
    Maybe the U.S. ought to tell the Toronto Blue Jays to get out so it don't ruin american baseball. I read where the Bills have scheduled games in Toronto. Maybe those should be cancelled.
    Brett Favre (Favor/his draft day) deserves his number retired. What about his locker?
