Colts to the NFL: We're not dead yet

It's been a week full of proclamations that Peyton Manning is no longer the best quarterback in his family, and that Marvin Harrison's career is swirling the drain. The 2008 season had, to this point, had been an indication that for the Colts, the window of greatness has closed.

The last 30 minutes of football played in Indy suggest that that window is wide open, and that Ray Lewis is being pushed out of it.

Marvin Harrison has two first-half touchdown catches, and has spent his day violating Ravens corner Chris McAllister. Peyton Manning has 170 yards and three touchdown passes. Reggie Wayne has caught five balls for 66 yards and a touch. Dominic Rhodes has carried for 58 yards. It's been a fireworks show.

Oh, and have I mentioned that this is happening against the Ravens? The Ravens, who lead the league in total defense, passing defense, and rushing defense? The Ravens, who have held opposing quarterbacks to a childlike 44.6 passer rating?

Perhaps some of this is that the Ravens are being exposed after feasting on predominately weak AFC North offenses, but there's no denying that the Colts have been brilliant thus far. 24-0. It's a bloodbath.

    The question is, are the Colts winning, or are the Ravens losing?
    Manning=3 touchdowns
    Flacco=3 interceptions
    Colts=4 touchdowns, one turnover
    Ravens=0 touchdowns, 6 turnovers
    Yes, Colts are doing very well, and they'll continue to do this good all the way to the playoffs, but in this game, the Ravens have been the REAL reason the score is 31-3.

    Can someone please get Rodger Goodell to give a steroids test to Dvoracek of the Chicago Bears ? This cat is all over the sidelines flipping his lid and when they lost on the last second field goal, he looked like he was going to murder someone...

    No, our Colts are not done. They played at a different level today. Baltimore was definitely responsible for the big spread in the score but our boys worked hard for this "W" and did a great job on both sides of the ball. I know it's one week/game at a time but we really need our radar set on Nashville in two weeks.

    Manning and the rest of the O just needed a lil time to get rhythm back. i really think last week helped alot to. im not jumping up and down saying the colts are going to the superbowl just yet but if their play stays like it did today there is no doubt they are going to be tough

    Enough is enough.. We (Baltimore) have to do thing about our offence. I know the Dfence kind of blew it for us but where was our offence? The rookie QB is not doing a bad job, I think he is the best QB we had to start. What needs to happen is the WR need to get open, truthfully, we do not not have break out WR.... Trade deadline coming.. we ned to make some type of move for a break out/playmaker for the rookie QB to have someone to throw to. This offence been terrible since we came into league. We finally got rid of billick , now we need to do something with our offence before that #1 defence we got get old and slow.

    We beat the no.1 rated defense in the league and some still dont give us our props? doesnt anyone remember peyton didnt play any preseason games and at first the offense was out of sync , but all three sides of the ball were fantastic against the ravens , the offense and defense were great but hey what about our special teams? bullit and giadarno were outstanding !!!!

    The problem with the Colts is theyre getting to old...after all, Manning and Harrison are in their prime, after which the only way to go is down...

    "Did you all bench your Colt players like the fantasy 'experts' told you too? You didn't? Me neither."
    Nope Marv Scored like 30 some pts in my league.
    and people that said marv was done were looking at his stat line not his game. Marvin is going to be a guy that can play for a few more years at a high level. Even if his speed drops off a little more his routes are so good. If you've got a guy that runs bad routes but has a 4.3 40 and you have a guy like marv that runs perfect routes and has a 4.55 40, marv is going to be faster in game. He wont straight up out run them, he never really has. Its always been a double move for Marv that gets him free. So he'll continue to do so. His stats were bad because the whole team has been bad.
    But hey I'm not getting paid to be an expert so my $0.02 are free.
