Checking in at the Senior Bowl ...

Traditionally, the Senior Bowl and the week of practice the precedes has a lot to do with what will happen at the NFL Draft. I thought we'd check in with various sources around the web and see how certain guys are doing.

We can't mention everybody, obviously, but let's try to hit some of the high points. If you're a draft fan, I'd recommend hitting all of the links below for a ton more detail and depth.

Good:

Joe Flacco, QB, Delaware. He's 6'6", has been turning heads, and Tony Pauline calls him "the most physically gifted passer at the Senior Bowl."
Xavier Abidi, LB, Virginia Tech. Sick speed and athleticism.
Dexter Jackson, WR, Appalachian State. It's probably the guys from the small schools who have the most to gain this week, and it's got to be gratifying for them to go out there and show up some of the big names. Jackson's doing that.
Jacob Hester, RB-FB, LSU. I don't expect The White Hammer to have a ton of success as a pro ... not as a tailback, anyway. I think he could be great as a fullback that could be used to make defenses account for another position in a lot of different ways, however.
Matt Forte, RB, Tulane. Could be the highest drafted RB outside of Darren McFadden or Rashard Mendenhall.
Owen Schmitt, FB, West Virginia. Has been showing good hands, and getting after people everywhere.

Not-so-good:

Colt Brennan, QB, Hawaii. Showing a decent arm, but weighed in at 185 pounds, which is somewhere below Jason Street's playing weight at Dillon.
Titus Brown, OLB, Mississippi State. Great size and athleticism, but is getting pushed around and looking lost.
Harry Douglas, WR, Louisville. Douglas suddenly has a case of the drops.
Adarius Bowman, WR, Oklahoma State.  Also with a case of the drops.
Andre Woodson, QB, Kentucky. Is said to to be "floating" his throws a little bit.
Erik Ainge, QB, Tennessee. Also leaving floaters.

Andre Woodson = BEAST!!! He'll Do Great In The NFL. Don't Be Surprised If He Don't Win The Super Bowl One Day.

I think a player out of college should be proven before he is paid a bunch of money,I would trade my draft pick for a proven player and look at how many 3rd round picks became all pro etc.I am a Giants fan and do any teams want Jeremy Shockey, the Giants fans will give him to you for a candy bar, really ok a piece of gum TAKE SHOCKEY PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEE

Does anyone agree with me that Matt Ryan is completely overrated i mean for every TD he had in college came an interception, that toss and chuck technique won't cut it in the pro's im glad that hackjob isn't at the top of the list in THIS article.
