The St. Louis Rams appear ready to follow their plan to help rebuild at least one of their lines with the No. 2 overall pick.
Two sources, including one within the team, indicated that the Rams are expected to pick a defensive lineman with their first pick in the draft Saturday after the Dolphins officially select offensive tackle Jake Long with the first pick.
On Thursday, St. Louis President John Shaw was scheduled to arrive at the team's facility for a final meeting to discuss three defensive linemen, LSU defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey, Virginia defensive end Chris Long and Ohio State defensive end Vernon Gholston.
Indications are that Dorsey, an exceptionally quick player who has been compared favorably with former NFL standout Warren Sapp, will be the pick. One member of the St. Louis staff raved about Dorsey late last week.
"He's a great kid. Great kid on the field and a great one off it. The kind of player you feel really good about taking," the source said. At the same time, Chris Long is considered a very safe pick that could help the Rams with their outside pass rush. Gholston is considered an excellent athlete, but there are concerns about how consistently hard he plays.

Who cares anyway? The Rams don't know how to draft well and haven't been for years.
