Gronkowski has suffered a range of injuries this season, and the herniated disc that required surgery was perhaps the final straw for 2016. Without Gronkowski, the Patriots now lack their most significant weapon, and the AFC race is now wide open.
On Wednesday’s episode of Don’t Be Tardy, the reality star’s husband Kroy, 31, suggests a fun family outing (Biermann family Olympics), in order to help ease the tension surrounding his uncertain NFL career. Kroy, who played with the Atlanta Falcons for eight seasons, had signed a one-year deal with New York’s Buffalo Bills in August, but was dropped 18 days later as part of final roster cuts. The linebacker has yet to resign with another NFL team since, so that means moving remains a possibly looming over the Biermann’s heads.
The 2-9 Chicago Bears will be finishing out their season with their third-string quarterback under center. On Thursday, Bears coach John Fox told reporters that veteran QB Jay Cutler’s rehabilitation efforts have not been effective, and that he will undergo surgery to repair his damaged labrum in his throwing shoulder.
