Zach Randolph put up 19 points and recorded 12 rebounds, his 11th double-double of the season, to lead the Memphis Grizzlies to a victory over the Orlando Magic, 94-85. Memphis (10-10) picked up the win after falling to Golden State Warriors on Saturday.
Randolph went 7-15 and converted 5-6 from the free throw line. Memphis also got solid performances from Jon Leuer with 16 points and 12 rebounds, and Mike Conley with 13 points and 7 assists. Despite the loss, Jameer Nelson scored 19 points for Orlando on 6-14 shooting (2-8 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 5-5 from the free throw line. Andrew Nicholson added 19 points and 11 rebounds, Arron Afflalo finished with 17 points and 5 rebounds, and Glen Davis put up 16 points and 9 rebounds.
The Magic posted an eFG% of just 44.0%, including 27.3% from 3-point range. This year, they are winless (0-4) when they record marks below 45% and 30% in those respective categories. On the other hand, the Grizzlies are 1-0 when holding their opponents to such low percentages.
Orlando (6-15) has now dropped their last six straight.
Coming up next, the Grizzlies battle the Oklahoma City Thunder, who are 15-4 on the year. The Magic meet the Charlotte Bobcats, currently 10-11 this season.
