A's OF Young on DL

The Oakland A's placed outfielder Chris Young on the 15-day disabled list Saturday with a quad injury.

Young was injured during Monday night's 19-inning marathon win over the Los Angeles Angels. He has not played since then. The move is back-dated to Tuesday. The club recalled outfielder Michael Taylor from Class AAA Sacramento.

Young is batting just .172 with four home runs and five steals in 23 games.

Taylor is batting .329 with five home runs and 16 RBI in 18 games for Sacramento.
