MLS Preview: Houston Dynamo - New York Red Bulls

Jamison Olave's well-taken goal in stoppage time gave the New York Red Bulls a 2-2 draw against the Columbus Crew at Red Bull Arena on Sunday.

The home side got off to an awful start and was down within two minutes. Olave's headed clearance was poor and Dominic Oduro collected a pass, beat the Colombian defender and slotted under Luis Robles to open the scoring. The Red Bulls goalkeeper crashed into Oduro during the play, and the forward had to be subbed out soon thereafter.

The Red Bulls levelled the game 30 minutes in. Tim Cahill played a perfect lofted ball from inside his own half, which sent Thierry Henry in behind the Crew defense. The Frenchman kept his cool and his sidefooted lob went up and over Andy Gruenebaum, who was off his line.

The Crew took the lead with just over 15 minutes to play, albeit in controversial fashion. Justin Meram completely mis-kicked a shot opportunity, and Kosuke Kimura then barged him over from behind. Despite the contact occurring well after the shot had been taken, referee Geoff Gamble pointed to the spot. Federico Higuain stepped up and blasted home.

New York would pick its head up and grab a late equalizer through a fantastic bit of skill from Olave. The defender perfectly took a lofted ball down in the box with his right foot, shirking his defender in the process, before drilling an unstoppable left-footed volley home.
