Chris Ivory had a big day running the football, but it wasn't enough to avoid an ugly loss for the Jets against the Bills, 37-14, at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
Geno Smith was troubled by turnovers, finishing 8 for 23 with 103 yards passing, no touchdown passes, three picks and one fumble. E.J. Manuel put up better numbers for the Bills, and ended up going 20 of 28 with 245 yards through the air, two touchdowns and no interceptions.
Ivory was a standout player for the Jets, rushing for 98 yards on 15 attempts with a touchdown. Jeff Cumberland caught three balls for 25 yards with a score.
The New York defense allowed 68 yards rushing and 245 passing. They tackled Manuel for a sack.
Bills wide receiver Marquise Goodwin was impressive, churning out 81 receiving yards, 17 rushing and one touchdown. Wide receiver T.J. Graham also had a good game with 74 receiving yards and one touchdown.
The Jets head to Baltimore next week to face the Ravens (4-6) while the Bills host the Falcons (2-8).
