Chris Ivory established the ground game, paving the way to a win for the Jets against the Saints, 26-20, at home.
Geno Smith finished with 115 yards on 8 for 19 passing, one touchdown (0 pass, 1 rush) and no interceptions. On the Saints side, Drew Brees went 30 for 51 with 382 yards passing, two touchdowns and two picks.
Ivory ran all over the Saints for 139 yards on 18 attempts with a touchdown. Greg Salas caught two passes for 57 yards.
The New York defense had a tough time defending the passing attack, but was able to slow down the run, allowing 41 yards rushing and 382 passing. They brought down Brees for two sacks.
Lastly, Nick Folk was perfect, hitting all four of the field goals he attempted.
Saints tight end Jimmy Graham had a productive game with 116 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Running back Pierre Thomas had a good game as well with 66 receiving yards and 24 rushing.
The Jets travel to Orchard Park next week to meet the Bills (3-6) while the Saints are at home to take on the Cowboys (5-4).
