New York Giants Fantasy Football Week 6: Fan Preview

Yahoo Contributor Network

Note: The opinions expressed here are my takes on the New York Giants' key players during the 2012 fantasy football season. As always, use your best judgment and conduct your own research on who to start or bench each week. You know your individual team and/or league situation better than anyone else. All statistics and point totals are based on Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Football standard scoring system.

Eli Manning, QB

Manning finished the week earning 21.26 fantasy points in a win over the Cleveland Browns. This week He faces a San Francisco 49ers' defense that has allowed an average of 15.93 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season. Manning had a solid game against Cleveland despite Ahmad Bradshaw rushing for 200 yards. San Francisco will not be as easy of a matchup. Expect around 18.00 fantasy points this week.

Ahmad Bradshaw, RB

Bradshaw finished the week earning 26.90 fantasy points against the Browns. This week he faces a 49ers' defense that has given up an average of just 7.78 fantasy points per game to running backs this season. Bradshaw had a phenomenal game against Cleveland but will not have it easy against a tough San Francisco defense. His fantasy point total at the end of the day should be closer to the 11.00 fantasy point range.

Victor Cruz, WR

Cruz had another strong showing earning 23.00 fantasy points against Cleveland. This week he faces a San Francisco defense that has allowed an average of 16.58 fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season. While Cruz had only 50 receiving yards on five catches, three of those five were for touchdowns. He faces a tough matchup this week against the 49ers but remains a "must start" in most league situations. Look for around 12.00 fantasy points this week.

Hakeem Nicks, WR

Nicks is expected to return to practice this week and see some playing time against the 49ers. It is tough to estimate exactly how much playing time that will be midway through the week. I am never comfortable starting a player who has been out multiple weeks during their first week back. I recommend sitting him one more week and taking a closer look in Week 7 against the Washington Redskins.

New York finished the week earning 6.00 fantasy points against the Browns. This week they face a San Francisco team that has given up an average of 5.60 fantasy points per game to team defense this season. The matchup this week is not the best but it is not the worst either. Look for an average performance of around 6.00 fantasy points this week.
