Note: The opinions expressed here are my takes on the New York Giants' key players during the 2012 fantasy football season. As always, use your best judgment and conduct your own research on who to start or bench each week. You know your individual team and/or league situation better than anyone else. All statistics and point totals are based on Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Football standard scoring system.
Eli Manning, QB
Manning finished the week earning 19.36 fantasy points in a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. This week he faces a Cleveland Browns' defense that has allowed an average of 21.74 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season. Manning appears strong heading into the Giants' matchup with Cleveland. Despite missing tools due to injury, Cleveland has been giving up big fantasy points to quarterbacks in recent weeks. Look for at least 18.00 fantasy points this week from Manning.
Ahmad Bradshaw, RB
Bradshaw finished the week earning 7.70 fantasy points against the Eagles. This week he faces a Cleveland defense that has allowed an average of 15.88 fantasy points per game to running backs this season. Bradshaw returned to action last week proving he is ready to resume the duties as the Giants' primary running back. The matchup against Cleveland should see him return to old form earning around 14.00 fantasy points on the week.
Victor Cruz, WR
Cruz finished the week earning 16.90 fantasy points against Philadelphia. This week he faces a Browns' defense that has given up an average of 32.58 fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season. Cruz has an ideal matchup against a weak Cleveland secondary with cornerback Joe Haden serving the final game of his four-game suspension this week. Even if he is faces a regular double team, expect at least 11.00 fantasy points this week.
Hakeem Nicks, WR
While Nicks has not officially been ruled out for this Sunday's matchup against Cleveland, it is highly unlikely he will be dressed for this week. Keep him benched for at least one more week.
Bennett has been on fire this season except for last week where he scored just 0.20 fantasy points against the Eagles. This week he faces a Cleveland defense that has given up just 5.00 fantasy points to tight ends this season. Against Cleveland he can be hit-or-miss so I can only give a low estimate of 5.00 fantasy points this week.
