Note: The opinions expressed here are my takes on the New York Giants' key players during the 2012 fantasy football season. As always, use your best judgment and conduct your own research on who to start or bench each week. You know your individual team and/or league situation better than anyone else. All statistics and point totals are based on Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Football standard scoring system.
Eli Manning, QB
Manning finished the week earning 16.02 fantasy points against the Carolina Panthers. This week he faces a Philadelphia Eagles' team that has allowed an average of just 10.66 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season. This is a very beatable matchup for Manning provided he is able to exploit the Eagles' secondary. Look for at least 16.00 fantasy points this week.
Ahmad Bradshaw, RB
Bradshaw looks to return to action this week against the Eagles after missing last week due to a neck injury. On the downside for Bradshaw, he will likely be splitting time and touches this week with backup Andre Brown who has had immense success these last two weeks. Philadelphia is giving up an average of 13.00 fantasy points per game to running backs this season to running backs. It may be a safer bet to let Bradshaw sit one more week if better options are available. Brown will likely see a decrease in performance as well with Bradshaw returning.
Victor Cruz, WR
Cruz finished the week earning just 4.20 fantasy points against Carolina. This week he faces an Eagles' defense that has given up an average of 18.73 fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season. With Nicks expected to not play again this week, primary defensive focus on Cruz is likely. He still has the opportunity to score 10.00 fantasy points on the week, but it will certainly not come easy. Manning may look to Ramses Barden like he did last week.
Hakeem Nicks, WR
Nicks was ruled out for Sunday's game on Saturday, September 29.
Martellus Bennett, TE
Bennett continued to be impressive earning 13.30 fantasy points last week against the Panthers. This week he faces an Eagles' defense that has allowed an average of just 4.30 fantasy points to tight ends this season. This may not be the most ideal matchup however, with Nicks ruled out this Sunday targets should continue to be strong. Look for at least 7.00 fantasy points this week.
New York finished the week earning 16.00 fantasy points against the Panthers. This week they face a Philadelphia team that has allowed an average of 17.67 fantasy points per game to team defense this season. This is one of the better matchups of the week so expect to earn at least 10.00 fantasy points.
