The victory sent City through to the FA Cup final against Wigan on May 11, but City had to work hard to complete the win after the Blues threatened to comeback from 2-0 down.
"I'm very happy, especially after a big performance because we know Chelsea have some good, small, skilled players," the midfielder told FATV. "Wembley is no small pitch, it's very, very big, so today we were happy with the win."
Roberto Mancini’s side controlled the first half and went ahead through Samir Nasri, before Sergio Aguero headed in a second shortly after halftime. However, Demba Ba’s finish on the hour mark saw the west London side come back into contention.
"In the first half we controlled the game and in the second half it was all Chelsea and very, very tough," Toure admitted. "We didn't expect it after the second goal, but they are a very good team and played very well in the second half.
"They made it difficult for us but it was a fantastic performance from our defence, they played very well."
