Recommendation: Puig hit .232 with one homer, nine RBI and 19 strikeouts in 69 at-bats for his Puerto Rican team this winter, but his impending absence from the Dodgers' winter camp reportedly has nothing to do with his poor production. The club gave Puig a seven-year, $42 million contract in June, but it seems they don't view him as one of their most majors-ready players, as the winter mini-camp is typically for those who are considered closest to reaching the bigs. Eight of the 15 players who attended the camp last winter went on to play for the Dodgers in 2012.
