New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter resumed baseball activities for the first time since fracturing his left ankle in the ALCS, Newsday reported Monday. Jeter, who had surgery in October, took swings in a batting cage and fielded grounders at the team's facility in Tampa, Fla. Jeter led the majors with 216 hits and batted .316 in 2012.
