New York Yankees right-hander Hiroki Kuroda will pitch Game 2 of the American League Championship Series against the Detroit Tigers Sunday on three days' rest for the first time in his career.

Kuroda gave up two runs on five hits in 8 1/3 innings against the Baltimore Orioles in Game 3 of the ALDS on Wednesday. He did not factor in the decision as the Yankees won 3-2 in 12 innings.

He went 16-11 with a 3.32 ERA in the regular season.

The Yankees also added relief pitcher Cody Eppley to the active roster for the ALCS and dropped infielder Eduardo Nunez, according to ESPN New York.

New York has 12 pitchers for the series. Eppley went 1-2 with a 3.33 ERA in 46 innings during the regular season.

Nunez was 1 for 5 in the ALDS.

The Tigers made no changes to their 25-man roster for the best-of-seven series. They have 11 pitchers on their active roster.
