New York Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano is in Saturday's lineup a day after getting hit in the left hand with a pitch.

Cano underwent X-rays on the hand, which came back negative.

Cano, batting fourth against the Toronto Blue Jays, hit a sacrifice fly in his first at-bat.

Cano was hit by a pitch in the sixth inning of the Yankees' 11-4 win over Toronto on Friday. He stayed in the game and was sent to a hospital for tests afterward.

"I was worried a little bit," Cano said on MLB.com. "The good thing was when I was swinging in that (last) at-bat, I didn't feel anything. That was a good sign."

Yankees manager Joe Girardi said there was concern that there might be more than just soreness in the hand.

"I felt pretty good about it that he was able to stay in the game, but with the hand, there's all those little bones that you worry about," Girardi said.

Cano entered Saturday hitting .301 with 30 home runs and 83 RBI in 156 games.
