Woman in Iconic Elvis 'Tongue Photo' Opens Up: 'Elvis Asked Me to Go With Him but I Didn't'
The woman at the center of a 60 year mystery involving Elvis Presley is speaking out about the romantic day she spent with The King of Rock and Roll.
One of the most iconic images of the "Jailhouse Rock" singer is sticking out his tongue before an unknown woman during an intimate moment in 1956. At the time, the image was considered risqué.

The woman remained a pop culture mystery for years, until Barbara Grey was revealed as the woman who appeared to catch Presley's heart when he was 21.
She was 20 years old when the famous photo was taken in a hallway of a theater in Richmond, Virginia.
"I called [the hotel] because my friends put me up to it and asked for Elvis and we talked for an hour-and-a-half," she told Inside Edition.
Elvis being Elvis, he told her to come over to his hotel and she did.
"He kept trying to kiss me and I kept turning away. One time I stuck my tongue out and he stuck his out and touched mine," she said.
The duo hung out in Richmond and a photographer captured their day together which was an intimate and romantic look into their brief courtship.

As the decades followed, the photo was seen by millions, and for years, Grey kept silent.
"I wasn’t embarrassed, I was interested in him. I wish before he left I would have gone with him. I didn’t tell him I was on my way to see my boyfriend," she added.
