Wizards waive G Mack

The Washington Wizards announced Monday that they waived guard Shelvin Mack.

Mack played seven games, including two starts, and averaged 5.3 points, 2.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 20.1 minutes per contest.

He was a second-round pick of the Wizards in 2011.

After being waived by the Wizards to start the season, Mack played 11 games with the Maine Red Claws of the NBA D-League and was recalled on Dec. 25.

The Wizards' roster is at 14 players.
