Down 6-2 late in the second period, Cameron Hughes started Wisconsin’s comeback bid with this beautiful between-the-legs goal on BC netminder Joe Woll.

Wisconsin would score twice move in the third period to cut the BC lead to 6-5 before the Eagles put away two empty-net goals to seal the victory.

Hughes, a junior forward drafted in the sixth-round by the Boston Bruins in 2015, called the successful attempt a “lucky” one.

“It’s kind of just a lucky goal. [Grant] Besse made a great play getting back, that’s one of the things we worked on was reloading and he kind of starts that whole play,” Hughes said via the Badgers’ website. “You just get in front and it kind of just clicks. I don’t know, it was kind of lucky.”

The loss dropped Wisconsin’s record to 2-2 on the season.
