Junior forward Tim Rusthoven recorded his fifth double-double of the season, leading William & Mary to a 72-59 victory over Hofstra in a Colonial Athletic Association game Saturday at Kaplan Arena. Rusthoven finished with 17 points, 16 rebounds and three blocked shots for the host Tribe (9-12, 3-7 CAA), which has won two of three since ending an eight-game losing streak. Rusthoven led four players who scored in double figures for William & Mary. Junior guard Brandon Britt came off the bench to score 17 points on 7-of-9 shooting. Sophomore guard Marcus Thornton scored 16 points and junior forward Kyle Gaillard had 13. Hofstra (5-17, 2-7) was led by senior forward David Imes, who had 16 points and seven rebounds. Senior guard Stevie Mejia had 11 points, four rebounds and four assists. Junior center Stephen Nwaukoni came off the bench to post 10 points and seven rebounds. The Tribe shot a sizzling 56.8 percent from the field while holding the Pride to 35.6 percent. The game was close throughout much of the first period, but the Tribe pulled away with an 11-0 run late in the opening half.
