The Big Show certainly did not take long to make his presence felt after a short absence. After returning on Monday Night Raw on September 24, 2010, Big Show then showed up on Friday Night SmackDown four nights later to wreak some havoc as well. After defeating Randy Orton on SmackDown, Show is now in line to face Sheamus for the World Heavyweight Championship at the upcoming Hell in a Cell pay-per-view. As a huge wrestling fan, I have mixed emotions about the choice of opponent for The Celtic Warrior. Overall, I believe the WWE probably got this one right, however. Here are several reasons why The Big Show will make a good opponent:
Sheamus Could Cement His Title Legacy
Although Big Show is not exactly "unbeatable" in the world of professional wrestling, a win over the behemoth is still notable. This is particularly true if you can beat him clean, which is rare. At Hell in a Cell, Sheamus could realistically beat Show clean and make his title run even more respected. If WWE creative plays their cards right, it could send Sheamus into a whole other level for his impending feud with Dolph Ziggler.
Dolph Ziggler Has Promised to Cash In
On SmackDown, Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler promised to leave Hell in a Cell as the World Heavyweight Champion. If this is legit, then having Show leave Sheamus hurting after a big win by Sheamus would be the perfect chance for Ziggler. I can totally see Shemus beating Show, then getting hit with a WMD after the match is over. This would leave Ziggler wide open for his cash in.
Big Show Could Win...Then Lose
The Big Show could certainly end up winning the title from Sheamus and then he be the one to drop it to Dolph Ziggler. That would only enhance Dolph Ziggler's title win in my opinion. The Big Show could win and then hold on to the title as well. I have always felt that Show deserved a nice long title run as a heel. I think he could end up going over well in that role over time. It remains to be seen what happens though.
All of these are scenarios that could play out at Hell in a Cell. Having The Big Show involved will add a bit of "danger" to the event if nothing else, as his size has always been intimidating. Hopefully they will end the show with Dolph Ziggler on top, as his opportunity to shine is clearly here.
