Week Five fantasy tips: QBs

Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger has begun the season on a tear, throwing for 904 yards with 8 TDs and just one interception in three games. Rashard Mendenhall’s return could help the Steelers’ struggling run game, but Roethlisberger still figures to get plenty of chances to throw, and he’s a solid play against the Eagles in Week Five. That said, the Eagles do have a strong secondary and pass rush.

Eagles QB Michael Vick was not even listed on the injury report with what is being called a knee bruise. Have no worries about the injury affecting him against the Steelers, who allowed the Raiders to throw the ball well on them prior to the bye.

Vikings QB Christian Ponder (knee) was limited in Wednesday’s practice, but mostly as a precautionary measure. He’s expected to be tip top against the Titans, who have been quite giving defensively.

Bengals QB Andy Dalton has eight TD passes and 890 passing yards in his last three starts. He’s a strong starting option in Week Five against a Miami defense that’s allowing close to 300 passing yards per game.

The Chiefs are allowing 7.93 yards per pass, which places them near the bottom of the league in that category. Ravens QB Joe Flacco, who’s had an impressive start to 2012, surely merits strong consideration in Week Five.
