Week 4: Jaguars-Colts matchup analysis

Indianapolis Colts (2-1) at Jacksonville Jaguars (0-3)

Sunday, 1:00 p.m. ET, at EverBank Field, Jacksonville, Fla. - TV: CBS

*Keys to the game: "Trap" and "letdown" were the buzzwords at the Colts' complex this week with Indianapolis preparing to travel to Jacksonville to face the winless Jaguars following last week's monster upset at San Francisco. Jacksonville isn't just 0-3, it has been outscored 92-28 -- with two touchdowns last week coming against essentially Seattle's second-team defense. The offensive line isn't blocking for RB Maurice Jones-Drew (2.6 yards per carry) or QBs Blaine Gabbert and Chad Henne (14 combined sacks). Gabbert returns this week, and the hope is his athleticism will enable the Jaguars to get back to the up-tempo, quick passing game and sprinkle in more movement outside of the pocket - which collapses in an instant. Indianapolis will increase RB Trent Richardson's workload with Ahmad Bradshaw (neck) out. The balance of playmakers along with the Colts' passing game poses an extremely difficult task for the Jaguars, who rank last against the run (167.7 yards per game) and ninth against the pass only because teams are grinding out games with massive leads.

*Matchup to watch - Colts linebackers and safeties vs. Jaguars TE Marcedes Lewis: Lewis (calf) returned to practice this week and expects to make his season debut. As one of the best blocking tight ends in the league, he'd be a boon to both the running and passing games.

*Player spotlight - Jaguars S Josh Evans: With Dwight Lowery (concussion) likely out, Evans will make his first career start alongside another rookie, Jonathan Cyprien. Coach Gus Bradley admitted the Jaguars are "going to go through some growing pains with those guys back there," in talking about the youth in his secondary.

*Fast facts: Jones-Drew has averaged 106.8 yards and 5.4 yards per carry in 13 career games against Jacksonville.

WHO WILL WIN AND WHY

The Jaguars aren't just losing, they're doing it with several players starting who didn't even make the 53-man rosters of other teams out of training camp. The Colts could suffer a big letdown and still win handily.

*Our pick: Colts 28-16
