WATCH: Blackhawks' Teuvo Teravainen dishes pretty assist

Chicago Blackhawks fans have been especially excited about Finnish prospect Teuvo Teravainen since he arrived in North America late last season. The highly-skilled center made a name for himself in Finland as a crafty playmaker and he’s been living up to the reputation while participating in a rookie tournament in London, Ont.

The former first-round pick provided a rather dazzling assist for the Blackhawks while competing against the Ottawa Senators prospects Monday night.

After calmly collecting the puck behind the net, Teravainen had an Ottawa defender in close pursuit before he efficiently turned and found Mark McNeill all alone in front for an easy goal. Wayne Gretzky may want to seek royalties after that wonderful play from his "office."

Teravainen is often lauded for his hockey sense as well and that play right there shows why.

The 20-year-old center will hope to make the Blackhawks out of camp, but he’s up against one of the deeper rosters in the NHL. He appeared in three NHL games last season before closing out the year with the Rockford IceHogs in the AHL.

It might be a rookie tournament, but is it ever nice to see some more live hockey highlights.
