Washington Redskins Fantasy Football Week 8: Fan Preview

Yahoo Contributor Network

Note: The opinions expressed here are my takes on the Washington Redskins' key players during the 2012 fantasy football season. As always, use your best judgment and conduct your own research on who to start or bench each week. You know your individual team and/or league situation better than anyone else. All statistics and point totals are based on Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Football standard scoring system.

Robert Griffin III, QB

Griffin finished the week earning 24.22 fantasy points in a loss to the New York Giants. This week he faces a Pittsburgh Steelers' defense that has given up an average of 14.42 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season. Griffin is not only a threat in the air but also on the ground. It is for that fact alone he should be a must start each week depending on the matchup. Look for at least 20.00 fantasy points this week.

Alfred Morris, RB

Morris finished the week earning 11.00 fantasy points against the Giants. This week he faces a Steelers' defense that has allowed an average 14.67 fantasy points per game to running backs this season. For a rookie running back, Morris has been beyond impressive this season. He has yet to have a bad game this season and a tough matchup against Pittsburgh should not slow him down. Look for at least 9.00 fantasy points on the week.

Pierre Garcon, WR

Garcon will once again be out of action this week against the Steelers.

Fred Davis, TE

…And Davis is out for at least six months after he ruptured his left Achilles' tendon.

Defense

Washington finished the week earning 5.00 fantasy points against the Giants. This week they face a Steelers' team that has given up an average of 5.67 fantasy points per game to team defense this season. This will likely be another tough game for the Washington defense despite the struggles of the Steelers' offense. Look for around 7.00 fantasy points at best this week.
