Warriors sign Machado to 10-day contract

The Golden State Warriors signed guard Scott Machado to a 10-day contract.

Machado, 22, was acquired by the Santa Cruz Warriors - Golden State's Development League affiliate - from Rio Grande Valley on March 8.

He has averaged 6.5 points, 1.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 15 minutes per game in 10 appearances for Santa Cruz. In 28 D-League games combined this year with Santa Cruz and Rio Grande Valley, Machado has averaged 8.9 points 2.5 rebounds and 5.1 assists in 24.0 minutes per contest.

He was originally signed by the Houston Rockets as an undrafted rookie out of Iona in September. He scored eight points with six assists in six games with the Rockets before being waived Jan. 7.
