Golden State coach Mark Jackson was fined $25,000 by the NBA for his comments after Tuesday night's game that the league considered an attempt to influence the officials.

Stu Jackson, the NBA's executive vice president basketball operations, announced the fine on Thursday.

The Warriors coach was particularly upset after the game with the Nuggets' defense against Golden State's Stephen Curry.

"There were some dirty plays early," Jackson said after the Warriors' 107-100 loss in Denver. "It's playoff basketball. That's alright. We own it. But make no mistake about it, we went up 3-1 playing hard, physical, clean basketball, not trying to hurt anybody.

"The screen on Curry by the foul line is a shot at his ankle, clearly. That can't be debated."

Jackson added, "I've got inside information that some (Denver players) don't like that brand of basketball, and they clearly didn't co-sign it. So they wanted to let me know that they had no parts in what was taking place."

Nuggets coach George Karl took exception to Jackson's comments.

"I'm just trying to figure out what movie he's watching," Karl said, "because it's not the one I'm watching."

The Nuggets and Warriors meet Thursday night in Game 6 of the best-of-seven first-round series. Golden State leads 3-2.
