Golden State beat Phoenix 91-77 at the Thomas & Mack Center on Monday night to win the NBA Summer League championship in Las Vegas. The Warriors were led by guard Ian Clark, who topped all scorers with 33 points. Undrafted out of Belmont, Clark was named championship game MVP. "Just a spectacular performance," Warriors coach Mark Jackson said after the game. "He's a quality guy and he carried us. It was great to see." The Suns were led by first-round pick Archie Goodwin's 18 points. The Warriors completed the 11-day Summer League run with a perfect 7-0 mark. The Suns leave Las Vegas with a 6-1 record. Warriors guard Kent Bazemore was selected to the All-Summer League team. Also on the squad were the Charlotte Bobcats' Jeff Taylor and Cody Zeller, the Milwauke Bucks' John Henson and the summer league MVP, the Toronto Raptors' Jonas Valanciunas. In four games, Valanciunas averaged 18.8 points and 10.0 rebounds.
