Cameron Wake had been a bargain for the Miami Dolphins since making the jump from the Canadian Football League three years ago.
Now, after Wake had missed from off-season work in protest over his contract situation, the Dolphins have moved to make him happy, agreeing to a four-year, $49 million package. The deal includes $20 million in guaranteed money, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Wake posted 28 sacks over his first three seasons and was scheduled to make a base of $615,000 for 2012 before the contract extension.
