VR Live Cast supports several competitive games, including Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends, and Dota 2. Audience members can watch the games “in full 360 Virtual Reality.”

The technology is powered by a patented “Virtual Camera Array” that renders the 3D game world in real-time. Viewers can experience matches in a static 360 camera in-game alongside a feed of the live-stream. The technology uses machine learning to identify when exciting moments in gameplay are happening, and implements “slow-motion or bullet-time effects with close-up and fly-by camera angles.”

The platform was utilized for ESL One NY and at Intel Extreme Masters Oakland, the latter of which saw 130,000 unique viewers tune in on the platform. Replays are also available for viewing on site.

VR Live Cast can be experienced via browser or on the Oculus GearVR, HTC Vive, and Oculus Rift platforms. It can also be downloaded from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store,
