LONDON (AP) -- Natalia Vorobieva of Russia won the Olympic wrestling gold in the women's 72-kg freestyle, pinning Bulgaria veteran Stanka Zlateva Hristova in the second period.
The 21-year-old Vorobieva, a three-time junior world champion, denied Hristova her first gold medal.
Hristova is a five-time world champion who also settled for silver in Beijing four years ago.
Vorobieva dropped the first period. But just 46 seconds into the second, she pinned her opponent for the win.
